Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla refused to give lunch break to MPs in the House today. Giving information about this, he said that there will be continuous work today, so that the time lost in adjournment can be compensated to some extent. In fact, MPs from several constituent parties of the opposition alliance ‘India’ protested near the Makar Gate of the Parliament House over the issue related to Adani Group and reiterated the demand for the formation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to investigate the matter.

Speaker said on blocking the entrance

After this, when the proceedings of the Lok Sabha started, Speaker Om Birla said, “Members should not block the entrance of the Parliament. I had requested this in the past as well, then I am requesting again today. There should be no obstruction at the entrance of the Parliament House. Many members have complained about this. I request all political parties not to block the entrance at the time of arrival in Parliament House. The Speaker said that especially women MPs have personally come to him and told him about the difficulties they face while entering Parliament.

“The time lost in postponement will have to be compensated.”

He said, “I have made arrangements and am making arrangements again today. If members have any problems, they should come and meet me. But there should not be any obstructions at the entrance. Our behavior should be in accordance with the decorum of Parliament.” Along with this, the Lok Sabha Speaker informed that there will be no lunch break in the House today and said that there will be continuous work today. He said, “The time that has been lost in the adjournment will have to be compensated.”
