Waves Subscription Plans: A big debut took place in the world of OTT on Thursday. Prasar Bharti launched its OTT platform ‘Waves’. Viewers will get to see a lot of content on this OTT like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Hotstar. Doordarshan’s popular shows like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shaktimaan, ‘Hum Log’ will be included in it. Access to live TV channels and radio will also be available. ‘Waves’ has been brought in more than 12 languages. 3 types of subscription

Prasar Bharati has introduced 3 types of subscription models for Waves. These are- Gold, Diamond and Platinum. Information about gold subscription rate has not been revealed yet. It will support only one device in SD format.

Waves Diamond Subscription

Diamond subscription of Waves OTT can be taken for monthly, quarterly and annually. If you want a monthly plan, you will have to pay Rs 30 per month. At this price, Waves OTT can be watched on 2 devices. You will get access to movies, live shows and special content. Shows can be downloaded. There will also be facility of live TV channels and radio. However, this plan will stream HD quality videos and you will also have to watch ads. If you take Diamond Subscription for three months, you will have to pay Rs 85 and if you take it for the whole year, you will have to pay Rs 350.

Waves Platinum Subscription

Platinum subscription of Waves OTT is on annual basis only. Its price is Rs 999. At this price, Waves content can be watched in Ultra HD format on 4 devices. Live TV channels, radio, movies, shows, exclusive content, sports will also be available and ads will also be minimal.

According to reports, many other shows will be seen on this OTT including ‘Fauji 2.0’, the modern adaptation of Shahrukh Khan’s famous 1980s show Fauji and Oscar winner Guneet Monga Kapoor’s ‘Kicking Balls’. Many live programs like Prabhu Shri Ram Lala’s Aarti live and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat can also be seen from Ayodhya.

Doordarshan has entered the world of OTT. Prasar Bharati’s OTT platform ‘Waves’ was launched at the opening ceremony of the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. According to a government statement, the aim of this platform is to refresh old memories by presenting classic content in a new way and adopting modern digital trends. Famous TV shows like ‘Ramayana’, ‘Mahabharata’, ‘Shaktiman’ and ‘Hum Log’ will be shown in waves. It will also have news, documentary and local content. This app is available for download on Play Store.

‘Waves’ marks its debut as a large aggregator OTT offering Indian culture with an international perspective in more than 12 languages ​​like Hindi, English, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Punjabi, Assamese. Stories of an inclusive India will be shown.
