Who is behind sending bomb threats to Delhi-NCR schools?
The threat-filled email with a Russian connection behind the terror scare in 80 schools of Delhi-NCR is a matter of grave concern. Authorities are investigating the origins and motives behind this alarming message, aiming to ensure the safety and security of students and staff.
A chaos has erupted over the sending of threatening emails to 80 schools in Delhi and Noida. The emails contain threats of bombing the schools. High-profile schools such as DPS Dwarka, Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar, and Sanskriti School in New Delhi are among those targeted. The email, sent to the schools, contains dangerous messages purportedly from a religious organization, stating that bombs have been planted in the schools, along with threats to detonate them.
The sender behind the bomb threat emails to schools in Delhi-NCR has been linked to a Russian connection.
Since Wednesday morning, when schools received bomb threat emails, there has been a flurry of activity from the police to intelligence agencies. As the number of schools receiving these threats increased, the situation became more serious. The police assert that although these may be hoax emails, a thorough investigation will be conducted.
Schools began receiving emails early in the morning, all from a single email ID believed to be routed through Russian servers according to investigation agencies. Those schools targeted received instructions to close. As a precaution, other schools were also given leave. With multiple schools receiving threatening emails one after another, both parents and the police are increasingly concerned.
Delhi Police is conducting the investigation with the assistance of Interpol.
Delhi Police has joined the investigation with the assistance of Interpol. So far, it has been found that all schools received similar emails. In the last part of the threatening email, all emails have been CC’ed and “RU” written, indicating a connection to Russia. However, it is not necessary that all emails were sent to schools from Russia. Conspiracies can be orchestrated even from within India. The email IDs of all schools are easily available online, making it easy to send emails.
Delhi Police spokesperson DCP Suman Nalwa stated that several schools in Delhi-NCR have contacted them regarding receiving an email about a bomb threat on their premises. Delhi Police has launched a search operation, but no unpleasant incident has occurred so far. “It seems like someone has done this to create panic… I just want to urge parents not to panic. We are investigating this matter,” she said.
What is written in the threatening email?
The threatening email reads: “What we hold in our hands, we wrap around our hearts. Inshallah, we will make them fly in the air and tear apart your bodies. We will rip apart your disgusting bodies. We will tear your necks and faces apart. If it pleases Allah, we will throw you into the flames, suffocating you. For the infidels, there is a separate fire in hell. Infidels, Inshallah, you will burn in this fire forever. It is written ahead that smoke will rise from the evil you have created and fill the sky. You have a lot of empty iron, there is no power in any zero, all of this is going away. Did you really think that there would be no answer to the evil you have done since childhood? The fire of jihad has been lit in our hearts. We have become that fire, Inshallah, which only seeks revenge.”
