Talking about Chunky Pandey’s Bangladeshi films, he has worked in films like ‘Prem Korechi Besh Korechi’, ‘Mandira’, ‘Shami Keno Assami’ and ‘Meyerao Manush’. Talking about his Bollywood career, he made his Bollywood debut in 1987 with ‘Aag Hi Aag’ and then worked in films like Kasam Vardi Ki, Tezaab, Agni, Zakhm, Kohram and Lootere. Chunky was last seen in Liger and Sardar (Tamil film), which were released in 2022.

Chunky’s parents wanted him to become a doctor

Talking about Chunky Pandey’s personal life, his father was a famous heart surgeon and his mother was also a doctor. Both of them wanted their son to become a doctor like them, but this could not happen. Chunky Pandey’s real name is Suyash Pandey. Now the question arises that how did Suyash get the name Chunky. Actually, both Chunky’s parents were working, so a nanny used to take care of him. The same nanny used to lovingly call Suyash Chunky and later gradually everyone started calling him by this name and since then his name became Chunky.

‘Aankhen’ brought him fame

In the year 1993, David Dhawan called Chunky one day and said to him, ‘I am making a film. It will have two heroes. One is you and the other is Govinda.’ This film was ‘Aankhen’, which became a hit in the theatres as soon as it was released. Along with this, the pair of Govinda and Chunky also became a superhit. But still, Chunky’s career did not shine. One reason for this was that he worked in many such films, which had a lot of stars. He believed that even if a film flopped, at least the blame would not fall on him. But then a time came when the era of multi-starrer films also ended and this started becoming a cause of trouble for Chunky. After this, he tried his luck in Bangladeshi films and Chunky was forced to move from Bollywood to Bangladeshi films.
