Interview of Kolkata rape victim’s parents

There is an atmosphere of anger in the country after the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. Everyone is unanimously demanding death penalty for the culprits. Meanwhile, the CBI, which is investigating the case, is going to conduct a polygraph test of the former principal of the medical college, Sandeep Ghosh. Polygraph tests will also be conducted on 4 other employees of the hospital. Meanwhile, India TV has interviewed the victim’s parents. Let us tell you what the victim’s parents said and demanded in the interview.

What did the victim’s father say?

  • We have to trust someone, CBI should work as per its name so that we can get justice quickly.
  • On the 8th, at 8:30 pm and at 11:15 pm, I spoke to my daughter and she told me that she was feeding her junior. Usually, seniors feed their juniors at the doctor’s place.
  • A question comes to mind that there were 70 patients. No one thought about where the doctor had gone the whole night. No one searched the whole night in the department to find out where the doctor was. This is creating more suspicion that someone from the department is also involved.
  • The first call came from a girl at 10:53 a.m. She spoke rudely and told me that she was not feeling well and asked me to come to the hospital.
  • Then I called the same girl and asked what happened, she said come to the hospital quickly.
  • When we sat in the car, a call came from the assistant supervisor and he told us that the daughter had committed suicide, come quickly.
  • When we reached the hospital at 12 o’clock, someone took me aside, someone took my wife aside. But no one took her to the seminar hall for 3 hours.
  • The police were just misleading.
  • No one from the department was there. Only policemen were there.
  • The principal was calling us to the office, after a lot of shouting and screaming the principal came but did not talk to us.
  • CM Mamata Banerjee called the commissioner on his phone and talked about taking action.
  • Postmortem took place at 6:10.
  • 4 people were on duty, including an intern.
  • The funeral was hurried, it is not even known who paid for it.
  • The police investigation has been misleading from the beginning.
  • We never said not to file an FIR.
  • We gave a written complaint to the police at 6 pm, FIR was lodged at 11:45 pm.
  • My daughter used to write a diary, three pages of the diary were torn, CBI has investigated, we will not say anything about this.
  • Never heard of Sanjoy Roy.
  • Only Sanjay Roy is involved in this, this is wrong and other people are also involved in it.
  • The CM talked about giving Rs 10 lakh, we don’t want money, we want justice.
  • The daughter wanted to get the gold model in MD, it was also written in her diary.

What did the victim’s mother say?

  • The victim’s mother said that my daughter always used to talk about the patient and study on the laptop.
  • She did not allow anyone in the house to watch TV, she always talked about studies.
  • My daughter was my only support. She wanted to fulfill my family’s dreams. Everything was shattered.
  • The police are all lying.
  • Trusted the police, they did things their own way.
  • There is hope that justice will be delivered from PM Narendra Modi.
  • As the delay is increasing our hopes are fading.
  • My daughter is gone, but crores of children are connected with me. This is what is boosting our courage.
