Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury has been shifted to ventilator in Delhi AIIMS. Sitaram Yechury’s health deteriorated again on Thursday night. After this, he was shifted to ventilator in Delhi AIIMS. Doctors said that he has a problem in his lungs. A team of AIIMS doctors is treating him.
Admitted to AIIMS on 19 August
77-year-old CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury was admitted to AIIMS on August 19. He was later taken to the ICU. He is being treated since then. His health deteriorated once again on Thursday.
Earlier there was a complaint of pneumonia
Let us tell you that Sitaram Yechury was admitted in August for the treatment of an infection like pneumonia. However, the AIIMS doctors did not disclose his illness then. Yechury had undergone cataract surgery a few months ago. Since then, the team of AIIMS doctors has been treating him.
The party had issued a statement
Recently (31 August), the Communist Party of India (Marxist) had issued a press release stating that General Secretary Sitaram Yechury is undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Delhi. Yechury is being treated by a team of specialist doctors at Delhi AIIMS. The party had said that he is being treated for respiratory infection.
