Due to cyclonic storm Fangal, there is heavy rain in many states of the country. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for several districts of Kerala. Neighboring states Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Puducherry have also been put on orange alert for Monday. According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur in Kerala on Monday.

The weather of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh remains normal. It is getting cold in the morning and night in many states including Delhi-NCR. Light snowfall is also occurring in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal.

Temperature will drop in Delhi-NCR

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of Delhi-NCR was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was 26 degrees Celsius at 7 am on Monday. The sky will be clear during the day and there will be sunshine. Delhi-NCR is likely to have similar weather conditions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday also. However, a drop in temperature will be recorded in the next three Delhi-NCR. Due to this the cold will increase a little more.

There is no severe cold in UP right now

There is no severe cold in many districts of Uttar Pradesh right now. No alert of severe fog has been issued anywhere in the state. The weather department says that the sky will be clear for the next two-three days and the day will be sunny. In Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, the minimum temperature has been recorded at 12 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature has been recorded at 26 degrees Celsius.

Light rain and snowfall in these districts of Himachal

Snowfall has started in the high altitude areas of Himachal Pradesh. Snowfall is occurring on the high peaks of Rohtang, Kullu and Lahaul of Himachal. Groups of tourists are reaching the mountains to see the first snowfall of the season. According to the local meteorological department, light rain and snowfall is forecast for the next three days in the higher reaches of Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Kangra and Mandi.
