Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday. During this, along with him, many Lok Sabha members from Kerala also met Amit Shah. During this, Priyanka Gandhi urged Amit Shah to help the people affected by landslides in Wayanad. This meeting took place in Amit Shah’s office located in the Parliament House complex. During this meeting, MPs from Congress, IUMM and RSP belonging to Kerala were present. After meeting Amit Shah, Priyanka Gandhi told reporters, ‘We have met the Home Minister and informed him about the situation in Wayanad. Due to landslides, the lives of the people there have been deeply affected and even their homes and families have been destroyed. They have no support system left.

Priyanka Gandhi said, ‘If the central government does not do anything in such a situation, then what will people expect. We have appealed to the Union Home Minister to help the people of Wayanad affected by the landslide. The Congress General Secretary said that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the victims there, people were hopeful of help, but till now they have not been able to get any help. There was a landslide in Wayanad in the month of July this year, due to which there was huge devastation, due to which many people died in this incident.

During this, Priyanka Gandhi told that a large area of Wayanad has been affected due to the disaster. Many people have died in this incident. Some families have been completely destroyed. He said that in such a situation, if the Central Government does not provide any relief, it sends a wrong message. He said that after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the disaster affected areas, there was hope among the people that they would get some assistance from the Centre. But till now it has been 4 months but they have not received any assistance from the Centre. During this he said that there are children in Wayanad who have lost every member of their family. If they cannot go towards the Government of India, then whom can they go towards?
