You will be known for your better understanding and sacrifice. Your shot on the last ball against Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup received a lot of applause. The way you released the ball. Letting it become a wide ball shows your wisdom. We all remember that moment when your mother was hospitalized. You returned to the field. When there was a flood situation in Chennai and you were not able to contact your family. The way you played against South Africa shows your commitment to the game. People will always feel the absence of jersey number 99. Cricket lovers will always remember the moment when you stepped on the cricket field.

All your 765 wickets were special. Receiving the most ‘Player of the Series’ awards in Test cricket shows the impact you have had on the team’s success over the years. You demonstrated your all-round ability many times by scoring a century and taking five wickets in the same match. With the bat too, you have given many unforgettable memories to our country, including the courageous match-saving innings played in Sydney in 2021.
