28-year-old Saud Shakeel completed his 1000 Test runs with a fifty against Bangladesh. He is playing only his 20th innings, and with this he has reached the top of the list of Pakistani players who have scored 1000 Test runs in the least number of innings. He equaled Saeed Ahmed, who had completed 1000 runs in just 20 innings in 1959.
