I went to watch ‘Ishq Vishq Rebound’ with the hope that I will get to see a different kind of love story in a romantic drama, but after watching the whole film, I did not find anything new in it… the same old clichéd love stories of Bollywood films. ‘Ishq Vishq Rebound’ does not stand anywhere in front of Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Ishq Vishk’ released in the year 2003. Anyway, maybe the film will do a little bit at the box office on the strength of the young generation.
This is the debut film of veteran music director Rajesh Roshan’s daughter Pashmina Roshan, whose acting may remind you a bit of Kim Sharma. Jibran Khan, who played Shahrukh Khan and Kajol’s son in the film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ as a child artist, is making his debut as a hero. Apart from them, Rohit Saraf and Naila Grewal are also in the lead roles.
The entire story of the film revolves around these four, in which Rohit Saraf is playing the role of ‘Raghav’, Pashmina Roshan ‘Sanya’, Jibran Khan ‘Sahir’ and Nayla Grewal ‘Riya’. In the film, Raghav, Sanya and Sahir are childhood friends and as they grow up, Sahir and Sanya’s friendship turns into love. On the other hand, Raghav falls in love with a girl from his college, Riya. The twist in the story comes when Sahir and Sanya break up and Raghav-Sanya come closer to each other. Now the question arises that if Raghav-Sanya start loving each other, then what will happen to Sahir and Riya. If you are thinking that after Raghav-Sanya, love will start blossoming between Sahir-Riya, then how correct is your thinking… to know this you will have to go to the cinema and watch the entire film.
By the way, the film is quite short, because the censor board has also used scissors on it. Therefore, you will watch the film and leave the cinema within 2 hours. Although the story of the film is not new, but at the end of the film you will definitely get to see a little twist, which you will not imagine in the whole film. The first half of the film is a bit interesting, but the second half is quite boring. The story of the film also becomes very slow.
By the way, you will definitely get to see the beauty of Dehradun in the film. The film has been shot in Mumbai and Dehradun, but most of the scenes have been shot in Dehradun itself. Talking about direction, Nipun Dharmadhikari has done a good job. Talking about acting, you will like the acting of Rohit Saraf and Pashmina Roshan more among the four main characters. At the same time, Jibran and Naila Grewal have also done justice to their characters. The music of Rochak Kohli and Anu Malik is the soul of the film. Along with this, you will like ‘Gore Gore Mukhde Par Kala Kala Chashma’ recreated by Badshah. Talking about ratings, I give ‘Ishq Vishq Rebound’ 2.5 stars.
