Jerusalem: Iran seems desperate to take revenge from Israel. Iran has given such indications earlier also but now once again Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reiterated the same thing. Regarding the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyya in Tehran, Abbas Araghchi has said that his country will retaliate in a planned manner. Abbas Araghchi said late on Sunday night that he made this comment in a telephone conversation with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.

‘No fear of escalation of tension’

“Iran’s response to the Israeli terrorist attack in Tehran is certain. We do not fear an escalation of tensions, yet we do not want it, unlike Israel,” Araghchi posted on the social media platform X. Tajani said in a statement that he called for “restraint and a constructive approach to prevent the growing threat of military action in the region. Any military action will only lead to more suffering.”

Heavy firing between Israel and Hezbollah

“It is important that Iran show restraint towards Hezbollah to prevent tensions on the Lebanon-Israel border, where Italian soldiers from the UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) contingent are deployed,” Antonio Tajani said in a statement. His call came at a time when heavy gunfire broke out on Sunday between Israel and the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah, which has long been supported by Iran.

This information has been given by a US. However, the talks will continue at a lower level in the coming days. An official, on the condition of anonymity about the talks, said that the lower-level negotiating team will remain in Cairo to talk to mediators from the US, Qatar and Egypt in the hope of resolving the remaining disagreements.
