It is said that greed is a bad thing, you should not fall into its trap or else you may have to regret it. A man did something similar, now he will have to spend his whole life in jail. This case is from Karnataka. Here a man running a tire shop killed a person for the sake of insurance money. Not only this, his wife also supported him wholeheartedly in this act. The man has been arrested by the police, while his wife is still absconding. The name of the accused is Muniswami Gowda.

The wife identified herself as her husband

According to the Indian Express report, the police have arrested Muniswami Gowda and truck driver Devendra Nayak for murdering an unknown person for insurance money. Police said that on August 13, Muniswami Gowda’s wife Shilparani identified a dead body as her husband. The man she said was her husband died while changing a punctured tire on the roadside in Gollarahalli. Not only this, Shilparani cremated the man in a dramatic manner. This made everyone believe that Gowda died in a road accident.

A trap was hatched for the insurance money

Shilparani then started the process for the insurance money. Hassan Superintendent of Police Mohammed Sujitha said the couple, who live in Hosakote in Bengaluru Rural, had hatched the plan to solve their financial problems and Gowda had purchased several life insurance policies and made his wife the nominee.

According to the police, Gowda and Shilparani lured a beggar, who looked a bit like their Muniswami Gowda, to travel with them. Then, on the pretext of a flat tyre, Gowda pushed the beggar under the wheels of a truck driven by Nayak to make it look like a road accident. Gowda’s plan seemed to be a perfect success at first, but he made a mistake and the case came to light.

I just made this mistake

In fact, Muniswami Gowda went to meet his distant relative Srinivas after his fake funeral. Srinivas was an inspector at Siddalghatta police station in Chikkaballapura. When he saw Gowda with his own eyes, he could not believe it and immediately informed the Gandasi police inspector about it. When questioned by Hassan police, Gowda confessed his crime. He told that he had incurred debts while running a tire shop and he thought that taking the money from this accident insurance would solve his financial problems.
