Police said that the incident took place on November 11 under Sarjapur police station area.

‘There used to be fights over small things’

According to the police, Naseem and his 22-year-old second wife Rumesh Khatoon often used to fight with each other over small matters. Naseem and Rumesh had a strained relationship as he was suspicious of his wife. Police said that due to such things, Naseem decided to get rid of his wife. A senior officer said that after strangulating Rumesh to death, Naseem tied his hands and legs with wire and threw his body in the drain. He told that after killing his wife, he fled with his six children to his native Muzaffarpur in Bihar.

‘Had fled to Bihar with 6 children’

According to the police, this incident came to light after a week when the local people informed the police about the foul smell coming from the drain. Later, the police found the decomposed body of the woman, after which it was taken for postmortem. The officer said that during the investigation, after the body was identified, it came to light that the husband of the deceased woman was missing and had run away with his six children. Naseem had 4 children from his first marriage and 2 children from his second marriage with Rumesh Khatoon.
