The final of the World Chess Championship is being played between D Gukesh of India and Ding Liren of China in Singapore.
Indian Grand Master D Gukesh defeated China’s Ding Liren for the second time in the World Chess Championship final. 18 year old Gukesh defeated defending champion Liren in the 11th game. He also won the third game. In this match of 29 moves on Sunday, Gukesh got time advantage against the Chinese player. After which Ding Liren resigned.
After this victory, Gukesh is ahead 6-5 in the final of 14 games. He has taken the lead for the first time in the final. He is now 1.5 points away from the world title. The first player to reach 7.5 points will win the match and will be called the new world champion.
3 games left in the final
Now 3 games are left in the championship. The 12th game will be played on Monday (December 9). Now only 3 matches are left in the championship with a prize money of 25 lakh dollars (about Rs 21.14 crore). If the score remains equal after 14 rounds, there will be matches under ‘Faster Time Control’ to decide the winner. It’s like a tie breaker.
Gukesh got time advantage
Gukesh opened the ratty in the 11th game. After this, due to Liren’s board decision, there was a delay in taking the move, here Gukesh got time advantage, but despite the time pressure, the Chinese player made the right moves and brought the match to par. During this, Gukesh used his extra time and won the match.
Gukesh has taken one more step in the race to become the youngest world champion. After drawing the 10th game, he won the 11th. During the match Liren made a blunder and placed his horse in the wrong position. Gukesh recognized the blunder and killed the horse. Liren recognized Gukesh’s advances and resigned.

Gukesh got victory over Liren after drawing 7 consecutive matches. The 10th game between the two was a draw a day earlier on Saturday. Here, the 7th consecutive and 8th overall draw took place in the final of the World Chess Championship. Liren won the first game, while Gukesh won the third.
Jeete Ko Gukesh will become the youngest world champion
If Indian star Gukesh wins this final, he will become the youngest world chess champion. Gukesh is currently 18 years old. Earlier, Gukesh had won the FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament at the age of 17. He became the youngest player to win it.
