The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has got its permanent director. The central government has appointed IRS Rahul Naveen as the new director of ED. According to the information released by the Union Personnel Ministry, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the decision to appoint IRS Rahul Naveen, who is the Special Director of ED, as the Director of ED. It has been stated in the notification that Rahul Naveen has been appointed as the Director of ED for a period of two years from the date of assuming charge.
Special things about Rahul Naveen
According to the information, before Rahul Naveen was appointed as the Special Director of the Enforcement Directorate, he was working as the in-charge director. According to the report, Rahul Naveen was looking after the work of ED along with the then ED director Sanjay Mishra. He is considered to be an officer who speaks less but is adept at using the pen.
Rahul Naveen is from Bihar
Rahul Naveen, a 1993 batch IRS officer, originally hails from Bettiah district of Bihar. Let us tell you that the Enforcement Directorate works under the administrative control of the Revenue Department which is part of the Finance Ministry. ED investigates cases related to financial crimes, money laundering, foreign exchange violations and economic crimes.
