Russia Ukraine War: The war between Russia and Ukraine is ongoing and at the moment there is no sign of it stopping. Meanwhile, Ukraine has said that Russia has used Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) for the first time in war by targeting the Ukrainian city of Dnipro. The Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement on social media platform Telegram on Thursday that it was fired from the Astrakhan region on Russia’s Caspian Sea, but did not specify exactly what type of missile it was. Meanwhile, the Russian spokesperson has been refused to say anything about the attack.

a call came from the Kremlin

Actually, a press conference was going on after the attack by Russia. The press conference was addressed by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova. Meanwhile, suddenly a call came from the Kremlin (the official residence of the Russian President) and he was asked not to say anything on the intercontinental ballistic missile attack. He was told to keep quiet about the ICBM attack. But, during this conversation, Maria forgot to turn off the mic, due to which her voice came out.

The missile is capable of carrying nuclear weapons

Intercontinental ballistic missiles are designed to carry nuclear warheads and their use would serve as a powerful message of Russia’s nuclear capability. The attack came two days after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the revised nuclear doctrine. The development comes as the war has taken a more international dimension with North Korean troops arriving to aid Russia on the battlefield.

The situation is getting worse

It is believed that, after North Korean troops arrived to help Russia, US President Joe Biden had to change his policy regarding allowing Ukraine to fire long-range American missiles at Russia. Russia threatened that Biden’s policy change would have negative consequences. Putin has also previously warned the US and other NATO allies that allowing Ukraine to use long-range weapons to attack Russian territory would mean war between Russia and NATO.
