What did Shubhendu Adhikari say regarding Waqf amendment?

When a motion was moved in the West Bengal Assembly to oppose the Waqf Amendment Bill, state Leader of Opposition and BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari said, “Yesterday the CM gave wrong information. The CM also said in the House that the BJP has two-thirds majority. There is no majority, so the bill cannot be passed. I want to tell them that this is a general bill, not a constitutional amendment. Muslim Personal Law Board announced the movement against triple talaq and that bill in the assembly When the JPC presents its report, it will be passed with full majority. There is no discussion on the law and order of the state. Only appeasement and protection of one’s vote bank is discussed.
