DD Free OTT app Waves launched Ramayan Mahabharat Shaktimaan is ready to stream

Doordarshan has entered the world of OTT. Prasar Bharati’s OTT platform at the opening ceremony of the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa Launch of ‘Waves’ to be done. According to a government statement, the aim of this platform is to refresh old memories by presenting classic content in a new way and adopting modern digital trends. Famous TV shows like ‘Ramayana’, ‘Mahabharata’, ‘Shaktiman’ and ‘Hum Log’ will be shown in waves. It will also have news, documentary and local content. This app is available for download on Play Store.

‘Waves’ marks its debut as a large aggregator OTT offering Indian culture with an international perspective in more than 12 languages ​​like Hindi, English, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Punjabi, Assamese. Stories of an inclusive India will be shown.

It will have more than 10 entertainment modes and will be supported by video on demand, free-to-play gaming, radio streaming, live TV streaming, 65 live channels, multiple app in app integration for video and gaming content and open network for digital commerce. Will also provide online shopping through e-commerce platform.

Waves has also provided its platform to content creators including National Creator Awardee Kamiya Jani, RJ Raunak, Shraddha Sharma and others. It has opened its portal for graduation films of students of film and media colleges such as Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Annapurna and AAFT.

Many other shows will be seen in it including ‘Fauji 2.0’, the modern adaptation of Shahrukh Khan’s famous show Fauji of the 1980s and Oscar winner Guneet Monga Kapoor’s ‘Kicking Balls’. Many other live programs like Prabhu Shri Ram Lalla’s Aarti live from Ayodhya and Mann Ki Baat delivered every month by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be included on this platform.

Other movies and shows on Waves include ‘Monkey King: The Hero Is Back’, Vipul Shah’s thriller show ‘Bhed Bharam’, Pankaj Kapur starrer family drama ‘Thode Door Thode Paas’, Kailash Kher’s music reality show Bharat’s ‘Amrit Kalash’ ‘And films like Corporate Sarpanch, Dashami and Kariyathi, Janaki are included. The waves will also feature animation programs like Doggy Adventure, Chhota Bheem, Tenaliram, Akbar Birbal and games like Krishna Jump, Fruit Chef, Ram the Yoddha, Cricket Premier League Tournament.
