Scary news has come out from the Union Territory of Chandigarh early in the morning. Two blasts took place near two nightclubs located in Sector-26, Chandigarh, at around 4 am on Tuesday. According to Chandigarh Police sources, an attempt was made to detonate a homemade bomb using potash used in firecrackers outside the nightclubs of Chandigarh. People are in panic after this incident. The police is thoroughly investigating the matter. One of the nightclubs near which the blasts took place is owned by rapper Badshah.

According to the information revealed in the investigation so far, two unidentified bike riders have thrown suspected explosives near two nightclubs in Chandigarh in the early morning. Forensic teams of Chandigarh Police are investigating this case. More details about this incident are awaited.

According to the information, no information has been received so far about anyone being killed or injured in this entire incident. However, many window panes were damaged by the explosion. According to updates, the low intensity bomb was hurled by unidentified accused riding a motorcycle.
Extortion case- police source
According to Chandigarh Police sources, this is a case of extortion. Potash has been thrown using firecrackers. Some jute ropes were found and some loud noises came out of them. Night clubs were closed at the time of the blast, hence it is believed that these blasts were carried out only for the purpose of spreading panic. In the initial investigation, there is a possibility of extortion angle behind these blasts by spreading panic among the owners of night clubs.
On the whole incident, DSP Dilbag Singh Dhaliwal said – “We got information in the control room that some personal problem has happened here. Our investigating officer saw that the glass is broken here. At present we cannot say anything. We have just registered an FIR. And investigation has been initiated.”
