Afghanistan won the second T20 match by 50 runs and the third match by 3 wickets.
Afghanistan has defeated Zimbabwe by 3 wickets in the third T20. Zimbabwe batted first and scored 127 runs at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday. Afghanistan achieved the target by losing 7 wickets in 19.3 overs.
Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan took 4 wickets. For this performance he received the Player of the Match award. By winning the third T20, Afghanistan has also won the series 2-1. Zimbabwe won the first match by 4 wickets and Afghanistan won the second match by 50 runs.
Bennett scored 31 runs from Zimbabwe Afghanistan won the toss and chose bowling. Zimbabwe lost the wicket of Marumani in the very first over, he could score only 6 runs. Brian Bennett scored 31 runs, Wesley Madhevere scored 21 runs and Dion Myers scored 13 runs to take the score close to 70. After the wickets of all three, Sikandar Raza and Faraz Akram were out after scoring 6-6 runs.
Tashinga Musekiwa scored 12 runs and Wellington Masakadza scored 17 runs. Richard Ngarwa scored 1 run, Blessing Muzarabani could not even open the account. Trevor Gwandu scored 7 runs and finally took the score to 127 runs.
Brian Bennett played an inning of 31 runs.
Rashid took 4 wickets Captain Rashid Khan from Afghanistan took 4 wickets for 27 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai, Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Naveen-ul-Haq got 2 wickets each. Fazalhaq Farooqui and Mohammad Nabi could not take any wicket.
Afghanistan had a bad start Afghanistan team, which came to chase the target of 128 runs, lost 4 wickets for 44 runs only. Rehmanullah Gurbaz was out after scoring 15 runs, Sediqullah Atal 3, Zubaid Akbari 2 and Darwish Rasooli were out after scoring 9 runs. Captain Rashid Khan could also score only 2 runs.
Azmatullah Omarzai then scored 34, Gulbadin Naib 22 and Mohammad Nabi scored 24 to take the score close to the target. Nabi remained not out till the end and gave the team victory in the first 3 balls. Sikandar Raza, Trevor Gwandu and Blessing Muzarabani took 2 wickets each from Zimbabwe. Ngarava got one wicket.
Afghanistan captured the T-20 series 2-1.
ODI series from 17th December The Afghanistan team has currently gone to Zimbabwe to play a series of all three formats. The team won the 3rd T-20 series 2-1. Now the 3 ODI series will start from December 17. The remaining two matches on 19 and 21 December will also be held in Harare. Whereas, two Tests will be played in Bulawayo from 26th December and 2nd January.
