Allah Ghazanfar took 5 wickets from Afghanistan. He will be chosen player of the match.

Afghanistan defeated Zimbabwe by 8 wickets in the third ODI. With this the team won its 6th consecutive ODI series against Zimbabwe. ODI series is being played between the two teams since 2014. Of the 7 series played so far, one has been a draw and the remaining 6 have been won by Afghanistan.

Afghanistan won the toss and chose bowling in Harare on Saturday. Zimbabwe team was limited to 127 runs in 30.1 overs. In reply, the Afghan team achieved the target by losing 2 wickets in 26.5 overs. Allah Ghazanfar took 5 wickets from Afghanistan. He will be chosen player of the match.

The first match of the series was inconclusive. Secondly, Afghanistan won by a huge margin of 232 runs.

Shaun played an inning of 60 runs Zimbabwe team, which came to bat first after losing the toss, suffered a setback in the 7th over itself. Joylord Gambi was out after scoring only 3 runs. After him, Craig Irwin could score only 5, Ben Curran 12 and Sikandar Raza could score only 13 runs. Shawn Williams was the team’s top scorer. He scored a half century. Shaun played an inning of 60 runs on 61 balls.

Allah Ghazanfar took maximum 5 wickets from Afghanistan. Rashid Khan took 3 wickets. Azmatullah Omarzai and Farid Ahmed got 1-1 wicket.

Sediqullah Atal’s half century Opener Sediqullah Atal scored a half-century for the Afghanistan team which was chasing the target of 127 runs. He scored 52 runs on 50 balls. Abdul Malik scored 29 runs. Rahmat Shah remained unbeaten on 17 and Hasmatullah Shahidi remained unbeaten on 20 runs. Sediqullah scored a century in the second match. He was chosen Player of the Series. He scored 156 runs in this series.

Afghanistan won the T-20 series 2-1 Earlier, Afghanistan had won the 3rd T-20 series between the two teams by 2-1. Zimbabwe won the first T20 match by 4 wickets. Afghanistan then made a comeback in the series by winning the second match by 50 runs and the third match by 3 wickets. The third ODI of the series will be held on December 21, then both the teams will play the first Test from December 26.
