New Delhi: There has been an uproar since the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at R.G. Kar Medical College in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. On one hand, doctors in many parts of the country protested against this, while on the other hand, there is a lot of politics going on over this. The situation in West Bengal is said to be so bad that some people are demanding to impose President’s rule in the state. In such a situation, we asked the public in the India TV poll whether President’s rule should be imposed in Bengal, and the public also participated in this survey in large numbers.
What did the public say in the name of President’s rule?
We had asked the public ‘Should President’s rule be imposed in West Bengal?’ and put three options in front of them in the form of ‘yes’, ‘no’ and ‘can’t say’. A total of 18781 people voted in this poll and 87 percent of them believed that President’s rule should be imposed in the state. Only 10 percent of the people who participated in the poll expressed their trust in Mamata Banerjee’s rule. The remaining 3 percent chose the option of ‘can’t say’. In this way, a large number of people believe that President’s rule should be imposed in Bengal.

The uproar that started after the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in West Bengal is not stopping. Many people believe that law and order has collapsed in West Bengal and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s government is busy saving the criminals.
