MG has teased the capabilities of the Windsor EV ahead of its official launch in India on September 9. The teaser hints that the electric CUV can be trusted even in the extreme conditions of Indian terrain. The new teaser shows the MG Windsor EV running in the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. It shows how the upcoming MG electric car can withstand the extreme temperatures of the Rann and perform well in it. During the summer season, the temperature of the Rann can reach up to 48 degrees Celsius.

Here the company wants to show the reliability of MG Windsor EV, because the performance of EV often drops in extreme high and low temperatures. Windsor EV is being called an ‘intelligent’ crossover utility vehicle. The electric car is based on Wuling’s Cloud EV. The company has also confirmed that the electric CUV will come with a single pane fixed glass roof. Like other electric vehicles, this model can also get a touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Also, it is expected to come with a two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel.
MG has not yet revealed any information about the battery or range of the upcoming Windsor EV and its performance specifications. It is speculated that it may get a 50.6 kWh battery pack with fast charging technology. The car may come with a single motor setup, which can generate 134 bhp. If compared to Wuling’s Cloud EV, then it can be expected to give a range of around 460 km.
