Sexual abuse exposed in Malayalam film industry, what did Governor Arif Mohammad Khan say on the allegations?

There is a stir in the Malayalam film industry these days. Sexual exploitation of female artists working in the industry has been revealed. This shocking revelation has been made in the Hema Committee report. Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has reacted to this. He said that if women who have been victims of sexual exploitation in the Malayalam industry come forward, then Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will start the legal process quickly.

Arif Mohammad Khan said, “The chief minister has already announced that if people come forward with specific complaints the law will do its job. The Raj Bhawan has not received any complaint so far.”

SIT formed by Kerala government

After complaints of sexual harassment of female artists surfaced, the Kerala government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT), which will investigate this matter prominently. Due to allegations of sexual harassment, two prominent personalities of Malayalam cinema, actor Siddique and director Ranjit, have resigned from their posts. The report of Justice Hema Committee formed for this case has revealed cases of harassment and exploitation of women in the Malayalam film industry.

These two celebrities resigned from their posts

A Malayalam actress accused Association of Malayalam Movie Artists general secretary Siddique of sexual harassment. After this, he resigned from the post of general secretary. A Bengali actress accused famous producer-director Ranjit of sexual harassment. He too resigned from the Kerala Chalachitra Academy after facing criticism.
