Preparations for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir have begun. The Election Commission has also announced the dates of voting and results last week. The Bharatiya Janata Party has taken a big decision regarding the elections in Jammu and Kashmir. BJP National President JP Nadda has appointed the party’s former National General Secretary Ram Madhav and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy as election in-charges for the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. This appointment has come into effect with immediate effect.
Had a role in the formation of PDP-BJP government
There is also talk of giving the responsibility of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections to Ram Madhav because Ram Madhav played an important role in the formation of the PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2015. He was also the co-architect of the common minimum program prepared by the BJP and PDP for power sharing in the then Jammu and Kashmir state.
An election committee was also formed
Earlier, the BJP had formed an election committee for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. The committee includes party state president Ravinder Raina, MP Dr Jitendra Singh, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Ali Khatana, organization general secretary Ashok Kaul, and former deputy chief minister Dr Nirmal Singh, former deputy CM Kavindra Gupta, Sunil Sharma, Vibodh Gupta, Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, Dr Darakshan Andrabi, Devinder Singh Rana, Ajay Bharti and Sanjita Dogra. G Kishan Reddy, Tarun Chugh, Ashish Sood and Dr Narinder Singh are special invitees in the committee.
In Jammu and Kashmir When are the elections?
The Election Commission of India announced the dates for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir last Friday. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar had said in a press conference that the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in three phases. Voting for the assembly elections will be held on 18 September, 25 September and 1 October. The results of the assembly elections will be declared on 4 October.
