Reliance Jio has launched the JioTV+ app for TVs running on Android, Apple and Amazon’s Fire OS. The app was previously exclusively accessible through Jio set-top boxes (STBs) that came with Jio Fiber and Jio Air Fiber connections. The telecom operator has announced that customers can now watch over 800 digital TV channels across multiple languages and genres using the JioTV+ app.

In a press release, Reliance Jio said that its JioTV+ streaming app is available on all major smart TV platforms. It features a single login for over-the-top (OTT) apps, modern guides, smart remote compatibility and personalized recommendations. Users can also browse content using language and category filters.

The JioTV+ app gives access to 800 digital TV channels across categories such as news, entertainment, sports, music, kids, business and devotion. Jio Fiber and Jio Air Fiber customers will also be able to access content from 13 popular OTT apps such as JioCinema Premium, Disney+ Hotstar, Sony LIV, Zee5 and Fancode. It also includes a Kids section, which is claimed to offer specially curated content for children.

Users can download the JioTV+ app for Android TV devices via the Google Play Store, and can also follow the same steps to get the app for TVs running on Apple TV or Amazon’s Fire OS.
