The intelligence department has received information that the terrorists sitting across the border have planned to carry out a major terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on the 15th August celebrations. Tunnels are very useful during ceasefire violations
There has been a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan for many years, but even then the Pakistani army has been violating the ceasefire to infiltrate terrorists. To avoid ceasefire violations, underground tunnels have been built for the Indian Army soldiers at all sensitive posts located near POK. These tunnels cover the entire post and on one hand the soldiers remain safe during ceasefire violations and on the other hand, surveillance can be done from these tunnels even during snowfall.

Finding terrorists hiding in the forest and targeting their hideouts is not an easy task and the soldiers undergo very rigorous training for this.
