The interim government in Bangladesh led by Mohammad Yunus has written a letter to the Government of India. In this letter, Bangladesh has demanded the return or extradition of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Many cases have been registered against Sheikh Hasina in the interim government of Bangladesh. Let us tell you that Sheikh Hasina had come to India after the coup in Bangladesh at the end of August. However, it has not been confirmed yet whether she has resigned from the post of Prime Minister of Bangladesh or not.

diplomatic message sent

The interim government of Bangladesh informed on Monday that it has sent a diplomatic message to send Sheikh Hasina back to Dhaka. Foreign Minister Tauheed Hussain in the interim government of Bangladesh said, “We have sent a diplomatic message to the Government of India, in which it has been said that she (Hasina) should be sent back to Dhaka for the judicial process in Bangladesh.”

Bangladesh argued for extradition treaty

Earlier, Bangladesh Home Ministry’s advisor Jahangir Alam has also informed that his office has also sent a letter to the Foreign Ministry for the extradition of ousted Prime Minister Hasina. Its process is going on. Home Ministry advisor Jahangir Alam has claimed that an extradition treaty already exists between Dhaka and New Delhi. Under this treaty Sheikh Hasina can be brought back to Bangladesh.

Sheikh Hasina is living in India

Last August, amid large-scale protests and violence in Bangladesh, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the country on August 5. She has been living in exile in India since then. Sheikh Hasina and her government ministers have been charged with crimes against humanity and genocide and arrest warrants issued. (input language)
