Kabul: A total of 50 people died while 76 were injured in two road accidents in Afghanistan. A government spokesperson gave information about these accidents on Thursday. Hafiz Omar, spokesman for the governor of Ghazni province, said a passenger bus and an oil tanker collided late Wednesday night on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, while a second accident occurred in another area on the same highway.

“The injured have been admitted to Ghazni hospitals and the process of handing over the bodies to the families is ongoing,” a spokesman for the Ghazni province governor said. Omar said that the seriously injured people have been shifted to Kabul and the dead also include women and children.

Meanwhile, let us also tell here that, on Monday this week (16 December 2024), a fatal road accident also took place in the southern Helmand province of Afghanistan. During the accident, a vehicle carrying a family fell into a ditch. 6 people had died in this accident. Earlier, six passengers were killed and four others were injured when a jeep fell into a river in northern Badakhshan province.
