What is the treatment?

Doctors will give you calcium and vitamin D medicines to strengthen your bones, but do not buy any such medicines on your own.

1 Calcium is very beneficial for bones, hence include Calcium-rich food (milk, curd, cheese, green vegetables) in your diet.

2. Spending time in sunlight also gives vitamins to your body, so spend time in sunlight daily so that the deficiency of vitamin D is fulfilled.

3. Light exercise i.e. walking and yoga should be done regularly. This will make your body and especially your bones stronger.

4. Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption. Otherwise it will not be good for the health of your bones and you may get worried.

5. Get regular bone density test done after the age of 50, so that you know how healthy your bones are.
