Official sources said that PM Modi will review the progress of three new criminal laws in the country which came into effect from July 1 – Indian Justice Code 2023, Indian Civil Defense Code 2023 and Indian Evidence Act 2023. These three laws have replaced the British era laws Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure and Indian Evidence Act respectively.

Apart from Chandigarh, security has also been increased in surrounding areas including Panchkula and Mohali. Police said that traffic will be restricted on some routes in Chandigarh on Tuesday or routes will be diverted.

Let us inform that before this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had visited Chandigarh on August 4. During this time, he had launched e-Sakshya, Nyay Setu, Nyay Shruti and e-Summon apps for three new criminal laws. According to the order issued by Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav, in view of the visit of PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the authorities have declared a no-fly zone for drones and unmanned aerial vehicles in Chandigarh from Monday to Tuesday. .

According to the order issued, “The arrival of VIPs is scheduled in Chandigarh on December 3.” Therefore, in view of the threat posed by the recent attempts by anti-national elements to carry out terrorist attacks using drones equipped with explosive devices and keeping in mind the safety of VVIPs and general public, Chandigarh has been declared a no-fly zone for drones and unmanned aerial vehicles. It has become mandatory to do so.” It further said that this order will not apply to law enforcement agencies and persons authorized by the competent government authority. (input- agency)
